My borders have been sewn onto my Pick-It Fence quilt. It is at the machine quilter now. I am hoping to get it back in time to enter it into our guild quilt show. I really like the bright colors. I am not too crazy about all that white, but it is what it is! I also received my monkey Jelly Roll Race quilt back from the quilter. I need to put binding on it, then a sleeve and it will be ready for the quilt show.
Yesterday I started the applique on my first Posie's BOM (Piece 'O Cake Designs). It is a larger block than the Whimsical Garden blocks. I still have not chosen the fabrics for my second Whimsical block. The Posie blocks come to me with pattern and fabric, so there are no issues with chosing fabrics for those blocks. I have been making labels for a few quilts. But not a lot of machine sewing has been happening. My machine is doing some strange wiggly stitches, so I guess that means a trip to a machine technician for some problem solving ($$$).
Our weather is beautiful today: a little chilly but with lots of sunshine. It is predicted to rain all weekend and next week, too. We must enjoy these days while they are here. Until next time...
Happy Quilting
P.S. Karen Combs has lost some of her quilts. Please read her info about this theft at http://karencombs.wordpress.com/2012/03/18/quilts-stolen/

What a bright and pretty Picket Fence Pam!
I'm finding the Whimsical Garden blocks pretty easy to do Pam - I just try to "match" the colors I'm using to the ones on the pattern as much as I can but if not I use whatever scrap I pick up. :) blessings, marlene
I like the quilt. Very springy!
Karen is coming to our guild in Nov. I think. I saw she had her quilts stolen. Terrible.
She told me that she is busy remaking them all.
I love your red border choice, it is a happy color for sure. I think white puts a lightness to the project, and really frames the pretty colors...but, like you, I tend to not use it a lot. I'm trying to do more with white....
:-}pokey
Oh so pretty and colorful - and I adore the red on the edges - one of my favorites.
very nice. Love looking at what you are doing. You have been so prolific. This is a happy quilt that makes me smile to see it. keep up the good work, Nadine
Oh wow, I love your Picket Fence quilt! I love those bright, happy colors, and I've come to love white in quilts. At least, some quilts. I think that's because the light is so dim up here in the Pacific NW. For brights, I like either black or white best. I guess because of the good contrast.
Sounds like you're coming along on all your applique projects. Good for you!
Love your dotty border!
I just noticed that even your blog background is a purple shade. I know it is your favorite color.
Your quilt is so happy and cheerful, just right for Summer. But where's the purple???
I really like this quilt
great border choice it sets the quilt off nicely
