This batik beauty is a collaboration. I sewed the top together from a kit and gifted it to my friend BB. She had it machine quilted and she sewed on the binding by machine (her first time) at our last retreat. So three of our retreat attendees worked on this quilt.
When I made the top I knew my friend liked batiks. Then when I saw BB at a retreat, I gifted the top to her. She immediately gave it to our longarm quilting friend who was attending our retreat. Our friend quilted the top and returned to BB at our last retreat. BB then sewed on the binding. I think the quilt turned out great. The purple binding that was used just set it off to perfection for me!
